Vince Young and Mack Brown Launch New Texas Longhorns Podcast
AUSTIN -- As the 2025 college football season approaches, iconic figures Vince Young and Mack Brown are reuniting nearly two decades after their memorable championship run. They are set to debut "The Stampede: A Podcast on the Texas Longhorns," as announced by Brown on social media. The podcast will be hosted by Bob Ballou, CBS Austin's sports director.
Brown, who remains engaged with Texas fans at 73, shared a video detailing the podcast's focus on Texas athletics, particularly football. He praised Young, calling him possibly the greatest college quarterback, and emphasized that they would discuss their historic game against Ohio State, reminiscing about their thrilling three-point victory in 2005.
Both legends were inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in recent years. After being let go from North Carolina, Brown?s new venture may suggest he is moving away from coaching. Meanwhile, Young has stayed connected to Texas by attending home games. The podcast will also provide insights into the current Longhorns team, including discussions on Arch Manning.
